A WORCESTER care home is inviting members of the community to its monthly dementia café.
Perry Manor care home on Charles Hastings Way will host the event on Wednesday (February 14) between 10am and midday with free advice and support on offer.
The monthly café provides guidance and practical support for people living with, or caring for a loved one, living with dementia.
The friendly team at Perry Manor will provide professional tips and advice for day-to-day care, getting out and about, and support available in the local area.
It’s also a chance for carers and people who are cared for to meet each other in a safe and friendly environment, and share their personal experiences.
Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “At Perry Manor, we strive to create a sense of belonging within the home, as well as building strong links and support systems for our neighbours.
“We have built a warm, welcoming community here and it’s great to invite the local community to our regular dementia café sessions – which are already proving to be popular.
“We believe that no carer should feel that they are alone and these monthly sessions offer a place for anybody within the local community to come and join us for complimentary tea, coffee, cake and a chat.”
