THE WORLD’s foamiest fun run is coming to Worcester Racecourse for the very first time and organisers are calling for fabulous fund-raisers to sign-up before January 31.
Acorns Children’s Hospice’s Bubble Rush is a great day out for all the family and will see hundreds of participants make their way around a 5km course through multiple bubble stations pumping out gallons of multicoloured bubbles.
Caring fund-raisers can save 30 per cent on entry fees if they register before next Wednesday for the event which will take place on Saturday, June 30.
Phillippa Weatherhead, senior events officer at Acorns said “Don’t worry if you’re not much of a runner, Bubble Rush is not a race and is all about having fun so you can jog, dance, frolic or roll your way through the blossoming bubbles.
“This is an amazing event and we can’t wait to bring it to Worcester. It’s hugely popular, so move quickly to take advantage of the early bird offers”
Those who raise £100 in sponsorship will even be afforded the status of Star Bubbler for the event.
“This year we’re giving participants the chance to become Star Bubblers and receive VIP treatment on the day,” Phillippa said.
“Our VIP’s will get a limited edition T-shirt, be the first to blast off into the bubbles, get a special shout out on the day and a goodie bag.
“We’re asking for people to raise a minimum sponsorship as the entry fee only covers the cost of the event, and every extra penny raised will make a real difference to the children and families we support.”
Acorns provides specialist palliative care to life limited and life threatened children and young people and support for the family.
In the past year Acorns has provided care to more than 870 children and over 1,090 families, including those who are bereaved.
Discounted entry costs before January 31 are £18 for adult bubblers aged 16 and above, £10 for little bubblers aged between six and 15-years-old and £6 for mini bubblers aged between two and six-years-old.
