Recycle your unsuitable Christmas gifts with Barnardo’s

Rob George 26th Dec, 2017   0

BARNARDO’s is reminding people that they can recycle their unsuitable Christmas presents and help vulnerable children at the same time.

It has been estimated that up to £2.4billion of UK festive gifts are deemed unsuitable, with a third of these gathering dust in the back of a cupboard.

So the charity is appealing for such presents to be donated to its local stores where they can be re-sold to raise vital funds.

The money will be used to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

In Worcester, Barnardo’s stores can be found in St Martin’s Quarter and Mealcheapen Street.

Barnardo’s area business manager Belinda Germain said: “Our stores rely upon the generosity of public donations.

“So please think of us if you receive a Christmas gift that you know you won’t use, as it could be enjoyed by someone else and will help to support our life-changing work with children, young people and their families.”

Barnardo’s stores are always keen to receive donations of good-quality clothes, books, toys, games, bric-a-brac and accessories, as well as offers of help from potential volunteers.
