ROTARY clubs in Worcester are springing into action with a Christmas food parcels appeal.
Caring Rotarians hope kind-hearted Worcester residents to donate tins and packets of food which will be made into food parcels and distributed to people in the city who are in need this Christmas.
Members from the three Worcester clubs; Worcester, Worcester Vigornia and Worcester Severn will be undertaking door to door collections, leaving Rotary carrier bags on Sunday for collection on Sunday, December 10.
Rotarians are also collecting at supermarkets and garden centres and a High Street collection will take place outside the Guildhall on Saturday.
Celia Gardner who is co-ordinating the event said: “Last year Rotary clubs in the city distributed more than 600 food parcels to people in need in Worcester and once again we are appealing to the people of the city for their support.”
