A WORCESTER woman has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning her from a number of City locations following a rampage which saw her assault a police constable and a protected animal.
Donna Barnes, 44, of no fixed abode, was given the order at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 19, for offences of assaulting a police constable, drunk and disorderly and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, all of which occurred on Thursday, 23 February on the High Street.
In addition, a number of thefts from shop offences were also dealt with and Barnes was sentenced to a total of eight weeks imprisonment.
The CBO will last for three years and has the following prohibitions:
1. Behaving in a manner that causes alarm, harassment or distress, including using foul abusive or racist language and behaving aggressively or in an intimidating manner.
2. Refusing to leave an area or premise when told to do so by someone having authority to do so.
3. Consuming alcohol or being in possession of an open can/bottle of alcohol in designated areas where the consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
4. Begging or approaching people and asking them for money.
5. Entering Shrub Hill Retail Park, Worcester City Centre, Lowesmoor Wharf and Hall Close, Worcester.
The order also requires Barnes to attend appointments with a substance misuse support agency in Worcester.
