FOUR Worcester companies and organisations have been shortlisted for prestigious accolades at the 2017 Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards.
Bradley Haynes Law and Green Lighting Ltd are vying for the ‘Small Apprenticeship Employer of the Year’ award, whilst Southco Manufacturing Ltd and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust are hoping to scoop the ‘Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year’ award.
All four have been recognised for going above and beyond to give their apprentices a wide range of skills to help them move onto full-time employment within their given industries.
Gary Woodman, chief executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We know Worcestershire’s apprenticeship employers go to great lengths to provide the younger generation with the opportunities to achieve their ambitions.
Coun Marcus Hart, cabinet member with responsibility for education and skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “With the support of Worcestershire’s fantastic apprenticeship employers, we’re continuing to see the county’s local apprentices go from strength to strength.”
The winners will be announced at West Midland Safari Park’s Tree Tops Pavilion on Thursday, November 16.
