A WORCESTER care home welcomed friends, family and special guests for a vintage teddy bears’ picnic.
Residents at Perry Manor care home on Charles Hastings Way enjoyed traditional picnic treats specially prepared by the home’s chef, Peter McGregor, surrounded by bears of all shapes and sizes.
Special guests to the picnic included classic AA Milne characters Winne the Pooh and Tigger.
Several residents families also brought in their loved one’s childhood teddy bear to help them reminisce about their younger years.
There was also a ‘beary’ good quiz, as well as prizes for the oldest bear, the best dressed bear and the bear with the most unusual name.
Home manager Katherine Matthews, said: “Hosting a teddy bears’ picnic gave us a fantastic opportunity to welcome friends and family and spend a lovely day in the gardens here at Perry Manor enjoying traditional picnic treats.”
