All Sorts of fun is a summer hit

Worcester Editorial 17th Aug, 2017   0

A WORCESTER theatrical school’s summer programme has been hailed a success.

All Sorts of Performing Arts’ principal and director Stuart Inglis has praised the school’s recent programme of workshops where youngsters got the chance to take part in an array of theatrical performances and activities.

Mr Inglis said: “The students worked extremely hard on all the activities and what they achieved in just five days was outstanding. They learnt seven routines, made props and learnt a lot of performing arts skills. We would like to thank the deputy mayor, Coun Jabba Riaz, for supporting the event.”

All Sorts’ new classes commence on Saturday, September 9 at venues across the city including St Mary’s Hall, Bishop Perowne CE College, Warndon Community Centre and The Green Centre, in Dines Green.

The new classes include ‘Mini All Sorts’ for youngsters aged three to six years old, the ‘Cheer Dance Team’, for children aged eight and above and the ‘Performing Arts Awards’, also for children aged eight onwards.

There will also be a free open day event on Saturday, September 16 at Bishop Perowne CE College from 9am to 3pm, where children can learn cheer and street dance, musical theatre and meet Tinkerbell.

Founded in 2014 as a non-profit theatre school, All Sorts offers children, aged three to 18, the chance to take part in classes and workshops where they can gain confidence and experience in the performing arts.
