A WORCESTER law firm has raised more than £3,800 for St Richard’s Hospice through its ‘Write a Will’ scheme.
Lawyers at mfg Solicitors, in The Tything, raised the money by offering to give residents free will writing support throughout February in exchange for a donation to the Wildwood Drive hospice.
The Write a Will scheme encourages people to realise the importance of planning for the future.
Amanda Piper, a wills and probate specialist within the private client team at mfg Solicitors, said: “We were delighted to have raised so much money for St Richard’s Hospice.
“This is the fourth year we’ve been running this scheme with the hospice and over that period we’ve raised a brilliant £14,800 for the charity. That’s all thanks to the support from people across Worcester.”
Rachel Jones, St Richard’s Hospice fund-raising manager, said: “Through the kindness of mfg Solicitors we’re able to raise more money to continue offering our services for free to patients and their families.
“We depend on donations and legacies from generous supporters to raise the millions of pounds we need every year to provide our services.”
