THE OWNER of a new wool and fabric shop in Worcester has spoken of how she weaved together her ‘dream job’.
Tina Masullo opened House of Haby on Saturday, January 14 on The Shambles, after her previous fabric shop in the city’s House of Fraser store closed in September last year.
With more than 30 years of experience in retail, Tina was inspired to open her own shop in Worcester as she felt the City needed a store offering quality haberdashery.
House of Haby sells an array of wool and fabric goods and Tina also provides advice on fixing clothing and is hoping to host sowing and knitting workshops in the future, after hailing the first week of business as a success.
“The amount of support I’ve received has been really overwhelming,” said Tina.
“When our fabric shop in House of Fraser closed our regular costumers were sad, so I felt I had to carry on as I almost felt like I was letting them down. We’re like a small community.
“The costumers spurred me on and I absolutely love what I do. I’ve created my dream job and can’t imagine working anywhere else. I’m like a kid in a candy store,” she added.
