IT’S THE most wonderful time of the year in Worcester and we’re lucky to have such a magical city to celebrate Christmas in.
The Cathedral carol concert is always a highlight for me and feels like a special end to a very busy year.
From the referendum and joining the Government, to further progress on fair funding for schools, it has been a lively one in Parliament and in Worcester.
Worcester is thriving and it’s been a pleasure to see our High Street so thronged in the run up to Christmas.
I am glad that the local economy has stayed strong few the year so that more people are in work and wages have been rising.
I am delighted that, as a result, most people in Worcester will have some more money to spend this Christmas.
Many people will be working this Christmas in our NHS, the police, fire service, in our armed forces, on the roads and in charities.
As we enjoy the festive season let’s spare a thought for all those people who make it possible for us to do so.
I wish everyone in Worcester a Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2017.
Robin Walker
