WORCESTER residents will once again be able to get into the festive spirit with the return of the spectacular Victorian Christmas Fayre.

More than 130 stalls will be lining the streets of the city centre for one of the most prestigious street fayres in the Midlands from Thursday, November 24 to Sunday, November 27.

There will be a range of products on offer, including colourful crafts, festive gifts and specialty foods.

Crowds will also be able to listen to uplifting choral and instrumental performances, view magical dance displays and travel back through time with Victorian themed entertainment and fairground rides, including a carousel in the Cornmarket.

Organisers are extending the event to include entertainment in Angel Place and CrownGate Shopping Centre, to spread the festive cheer even further around the city.

Coun Geoff Williams, Cabinet Member for Economic Prosperity and Growth, said: “Worcester’s Victorian Fayre is a fantastic traditional event, which regularly attracts more than 100,000 people over the course of the four days from all over the country.

“Much of the produce sold on the stalls is made locally, and the additional footfall in the city centre benefits many high street shops and restaurants too.”
