WORCESTER and Malvern residents being sought after to take part in this year’s ‘Santa Dash’ to raise money for a city hospice.

Registration has recently opened for the popular winter event on Sunday, December 4 at The Valley in Evesham.

People of all ages and abilities are invited to don a Santa suit and run/walk a 5km multi-terrain route in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.

Phil Maclean, retail marketing manager at The Valley, said: “Last year created a real buzz for the participants and shoppers alike, so we hope to double the amount of entires this year to benefit St Richard’s Hospice.”

Ria Simons, a community fund-raiser at the hospice, said: “We’re excited to be launching the 2016 Santa Dash and hope to make it even bigger and better than last year.

“Money raised through sponsorship and entry fees will go directly to caring for local people this Christmas and beyond.”

The event starts at 10am.
