KIND-hearted staff at the M&S store in Worcester raised more than £3,000 after a month of fund-raising events for Macmillan Cancer Support.

City residents were out in force to support the cause at the High Street store last Friday (September 30) as they joined millions of people across the UK for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

As well as serving up huge amounts of cake and coffee, staff also hosted a local choir and put themselves forward to ‘brave the shave.’

The M&S store began their fund-raising drive at the start of September by donating 10 per cent of each sale from a number of products and by donating 5p from every cup of coffee and a slice of cake sold in their cafe.

Worcester M&S Store Manager, Richard Barber, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our shoppers for helping us to raise such a phenomenal amount for such a worthy cause.
