A WEEK into the summer holidays and parents in Worcester might already be faced with finding something to keep bored children amused.
Fear not, with just over a fortnight to go before the Worcester Show, there is still time to get young people in the family to try their hand at some new skills.
This popular event, attended by 10,000 people last year, will take place in Gheluvelt Park on Sunday, August 14.
This year there are special under-18 categories in every category, so children can enter their home grown veg, fruit and flowers, have a go at their own flower arrangements, photography or even do a spot of baking or handicrafts.
The Worcester Cactus Society is supporting the new under 18 class of the Cacti & Succulents section by offering a free subscription to every entrant – and accompanying parent/guardian – for the remainder of 2016 and all of 2017.
All this plus the usual family fun classes.
All classes are free to enter but there is only a week to do so. Go to www.worcestershow.org.uk or call the Customer Service Centre on 01905 722233.
Entries must be received by 10am on Monday (August 8)
