LOCAL community groups are set to benefit from a new volunteering partnership in Worcester.
Leading housing and care provider, Sanctuary Group, has teamed up with its vehicle hire contractor, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, to provide more volunteers to the local community as part of its employee volunteering scheme.
The scheme has been developed as part of its commitment to investing in communities and encourages staff to volunteer their time and skills to make a difference.
Colleen Eccles, Sanctuary’s director of neighbourhoods, said: “We are committed to working in partnership with organisations who share our values, supporting communities and developing staff.
“Volunteering opportunities like this one are a great way for people to share their knowledge and expertise whilst gaining valuable new skills and a deeper understanding of the community and the environment.”
Steven Walder, the local area manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, said: “Here at Enterprise we are passionate about partnering with our local communities.
“In fact we base our business on our Founding Values, one of which is ‘we strengthen our communities, one neighbourhood at a time.’
“We are delighted to be working with Sanctuary to improve the local environment and communities and look forward to more collaboration in the future.”
