JOBSEEKERS can learn more about career opportunities in the city at a job fair in Warndon tomorrow (Thursday).

Hosted by Worcestershire County Council’s Libraries and Learning Service, the event will take place from 10am to 2pm at the Fairfield Centre.

Local businesses and employment agencies will be looking for suitable people to fill a number of vacancies.

The event is also open to young people who may be considering an apprenticeship or looking for an opportunity to gain work-based training.

There will be the chance for attendees to speak to support agencies, meet the Library and Learning team, join the job club, or register for a course to help job seekers develop new skills required for work.

Interviews will take place to fill current vacancies and there will be a CV clinic along with advice on career development/change, available from the National Careers Service.

Local businesses and recruitment agencies offering interviews include Jobcentre Plus, Remploy, Nation Career Service, Worcester Community Trust, Worcestershire Apprenticeships, Fortis, Library and Learning team, 2 Counties Training and Springboard, Warndon Library Job Club and Buttercup Children’s Centre.

For more information on the fair call Colin Barnett, Worcestershire County Council’s adult learning manager, on 01905 846264.
