SUPERMARKET giant Aldi is set to open its doors on Thursday and is offering prizes to early customers.
The grand opening of Worcester’s second Aldi store, located on Tybridge Street, will see local Team GB hockey player Sally Walton, cutting the ribbon with Store Manager, Elisha Chambers on Thursday, July 7 at 8am.
To celebrate, the store will be handing out 100 golden envelopes containing special tickets to win a range of prizes including a Full HD Smart TV, Smart Phone, Rugged Mobile Phones, Men’s Premium Shavers and Bags of Aldi shopping to the first one hundred people in the queue on opening day.
The opening of the store has created 40 jobs for the local community and Aldi is currently recruiting for a variety of roles including Store Assistant, Stock Assistant, Apprentice and Caretaker roles in the area.
The store will be served by over 100 car parking spaces and will feature around 1,500 product lines, where customers can expect a wide range of high quality and locally sourced produce.
As part of its engagement within the local community, Aldi will be donating a range of products to St Clement’s Primary School, to aid their summer activities. Representatives of the school will be presented with the donation at the store opening.
Aldi Store Manager, Elisha Chambers said: “The store team and I are looking forward to the opening of our second Worcester store and I hope the local community will enjoy our golden ticket opening celebrations and great prizes up for grabs.
“We’re proud to be supporting St Clements Primary School, and we hope the products help towards their summer event. We expect to see plenty of shoppers on Thursday take advantage of our opening week offers, in addition to our range of products at everyday low prices.”
