POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was threatened in Ronkswood.

The victim was walking her dog along an alleyway in an area known as the ’99 steps’ near Perry Wood on Sunday, June 12 between 4.50pm and 5.45pm, when she noticed a male acting in a suspicious manner.

As the woman reached the end of the alleyway she noticed the male walking through the woods.

He followed the woman and verbally threatened her, causing her to leave in the direction she came from.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 30s, of a medium build with dirty blond hair. He was wearing a grey short sleeved t-shirt with a hash/tag pattern on the front and light blue shorts with stripes down the sides.

Inspector Gerard Smith, of West Mercia Police, said: “Following this suspicious incident, we don’t wish to alarm our communities unnecessarily, however, we continue to advise residents to be vigilant at all times when walking alone.”

Anyone who has any information that could lead to identifying the mentioned man should call Worcester Police on 101, quoting incident 598S of June, 12 2016.
