CARING city residents took to the skies in memory of a brave Crowle youngster who tragically lost her battle with cancer.
Natalie Hothi organised a tandem skydive on Sunday (May 1) to raise cash for the Grace Kelly Ladybird fund-raising appeal.
The cause was launched by Crowle mum Jen Kelly who lost her four-year-old daughter Grace to an aggressive form of cancer 17 months ago.
And Jen joined Natalie’s husband Ravi, Nicole Jones and Victoria Billings for the big leap.
The kind-hearted team have raised more than £6,200 as a result of their efforts and Jen told The Observer it was an ‘emotional day’.
“The sun came out especially and I am so pleased with the amazing support we have had, it really is wonderful. Grace really is making a difference,” she said.
The event was made all the more poignant for Jen after the centre agreed to the caring mum’s wish for a picture of Grace to be kept in one of their planes.
“The skydive centre were so nice and the picture in the plane means Grace can keep on flying and see the world that way too,” she said.
“Another picture of Grace also went flying with me.”
