ONE OF Mexico’s top salsa dancers is launching classes for children and adults in Worcester.

Edwin Rodriguez Ovalle, a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer, is inviting residents to the dance floor every Thursday from April 21 at Worcester Arts Workshop.

Since moving to the city last month, Mr Ovalle is keen to share his Latin culture of various dancing styles, which he’s performed internationally for more than six years winning various dance competitions.

He is also trained in contemporary dance, ballet, hip-hop, ballroom, Yoruba, jazz and Broadway-style dance.

Mr Ovalle said: “Dancing is my passion and I’m so excited to be launching salsa classes in Worcester. Salsa is a fun, social dance which is easy to learn and suitable for all ages. It’s a great way to meet people and keep fit.

“Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, come along to one of my classes and see for yourself.”

The weekly classes are open to people of all ages and abilities and will run from 6pm to 7pm, costing £5 per session.

E-mail Mr Ovalle on [email protected] or call 07495 645843 for more information.
