UPDATE: London Road reopens following three-car crash

ONE person was freed from their car after fire crews removed the roof following a three car crash on a busy Worcester road.

Emergency services were called to the scene close to the Tesco Express on LondonĀ Road at about 1pm this afternoon (Wednesday).

The road has now reopenedĀ in both directions following the crash which involved a black BMW 5 series, a grey Ford Focus estate and a blue Renault Clio.

Two fire engines from Worcester Fire Station attended the scene.




One driver has been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, while no one else was injured in the incident.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic collision on London Road, Worcester involving three vehicles.


“Two fire engines from Worcester Fire Station attended the scene.

“One casualty was released from a vehicle by fire service personnel using electric cutters and impact drivers.

“The vehicles were made safe and the casualty was conveyed to hospital.”
