Care home enjoys a 'suite' success

THE MAYOR of Worcester has cut the ribbon on a brand new suite at a city care home.

Coun Roger Knight officially opened Perry Manor Care Home’s state-of-the-art Elgar suite on Thursday (March 31), which will offer specialist care for 11 elderly residents.

Visitors were able to drop-in to the home – which provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care – to get a first glimpse of the suite and were entertained with live music from the Poppy Sisters.

Pushpa Sagoo, manager at the Charles Hastings Way care home said: “The unveiling of the Elgar suite is an important milestone for all of us here as it means we can now meet the demand in Worcester and beyond for residential care.

“We have built a warm, welcoming community with everything in place, so we can provide the highest standards of personalised care and it’s great we’re in a position to build on our existing provision and expand our offering.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming new residents to the Elgar suite over the coming months.”
