WORCESTER residents are invited to join in with a day of Easter fun at a free event in Barbourne this Saturday (March 19).
Organised by Headway, a charity that helps people with brain injury, the Easter Fayre will be held at the Day Centre on The Mill, Gregory’s Mill Street, from 11am to 2pm and will feature homemade cakes, games of pool, a tombola and more.
Proceeds from the day will go towards Headway Worcestershire Day Opportunities, one of the services used by people with brain injury in Worcester.
Julia Protesaru, Fundraising & Marketing Manager, said: “We are inviting all the locals, friends and families to join us on the day, at least for some tea and cake! We hope for some sunshine too, as the clients have previously tended to the gardens in their rehabilitation sessions and they are now a great spot for outdoor games and bird watching. We are all looking forward to the whole day.”
As well as the family-friendly activities, there will also be an Easter crafts sale with items made by the Headway Clients.
Support workers at Headway, Tabitha and Alison, added: “The service users spent the last 3 months preparing the items, and they even came up with their own ideas and designs, and are developing their ability to work independently. It’s been amazing seeing them excited and looking forward to Easter and also seeing their skills improve in their sessions”.
Entry is free, with prize donations and Easter Eggs kindly welcomed. For more information email Julia on [email protected]
