WORCESTER’s new Fire Station is throwing open its doors to members of the public for its first open day tomorrow.
For the first time, members of the public will get to look around the brand new site since it opened in May of this year after they moved from their old base on Copenhagen Street.
From 11am until 4pm on Saturday (September 12) visitors will be able to meet their local firefighters and throughout the day there will be opportunities to have a ride in a fire engine.
The public will also get a chance to see some exciting demonstrations, including a road traffic scenario and a smoke house exercise.
Throughout the day visitors can tuck into a barbecue on offer, look around the static water rescue display and learn some fire and road safety advice from the firefighters.
