A TAXI driver was held at knifepoint during an attempted robbery in Worcester.
The attack happened after the 35-year-old victim was called to Somerville Road around 10.55pm on Saturday (August 15).
When he got there a white man in his mid-20s, who was wearing jeans and a green jacket, approached the taxi and asked if it was for him.
When the victim said ‘yes’, three men wearing scarves over their faces and dark clothes opened the driver’s door.
One of the men kicked the driver in the arm and demanded that he handed over any money while pointing a knife at him.
The victim managed to drive off while the door was still open but no money was taken.
