THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised for various charities by secondary school students.
Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College managed to fund-raise nearly £15,000 through non-uniform days and Litent activities.
The students rambled on the Malvern Hills, walked a mile, wore something pink, filled shoe boxes, washed cars, baked cakes and created quizes.
The largest portion of the money went to Kenlem trust who were presented with £3,000.
Other charities receiving more than £1,000 from the school pupils include Age UK, CAFOD, the DEC Appeal and LEPRA.
Hundreds of pounds was also given to 11 other charities.
Principal Sean Devlin said: “It is important that our community lives the Gospel values by ensuring that we help those less fortunate than ourselves.”
