A CARE home has scooped it’s second award this year after being ranked as one of the most highly recommended in the West Midlands.
Staff and residents at Latimer Court Care Home were delighted to be awarded a place in Carehome.co.uk’s top 20 out of more than 1,800.
They have already been named the number one home in Worcester in the Your Care Rating survey last February when they scored 928 out of 1,000.
The website rates care providers across the country to assist those looking to make comparisons to find the right place for them to live or for their friends and family.
The categories that are assessed include, cleanliness, facilities, food, activities, safety and security, management, value for money and support of residents.
The awards are carried out annually and this year they were based on more than 45,000 recommendations received from residents and their friends and families during 2014.
Karen Hancox, general manager, said: “It’s fantastic to know that residents and their friends and families think so highly of us.
“Despite being just two years old, we have established ourselves as a leader in the care sector in Worcester having held the top spot for the Worcester area since March 2014.
“Now, to have that extended to the top 20 in the whole of the West Midlands quite simply makes me beam with pride.
“The whole team work tirelessly to deliver the highest possible quality care and maintain a warm, homely environment for the individuals living here so.Everyone is thrilled, including the residents that have made Latimer Court their home.”
