A TOLLADINE man was caught with stolen goods after advertising them on his Facebook page.

Anthony Bradley, of Lilac Avenue, pleaded guilty at Worcester Magistrates Court last Friday (March 13) to dishonestly receiving a Mira shower worth £323.

Prosecution solicitor Lesley Ashton told the court that Bradley attempted to sell on the goods, belonging to AKW Medicare Ltd, by posting them on his personal Facebook page between Friday February 13 and Monday February 16, making it a more serious offence.

She said: “He was asked to explain how he came into possession of it and said shop lifters came to his home address and he said he would sell it on and split the costs.”

Defence solicitor Barry Newton said: “Putting it on his Facebook page made it inevitable that it would come to light.”

Chair of the bench John Chester sentenced the 42-year-old to a 12 month community order with 12 months supervision. He was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 court costs and to work 80 hour unpaid.
