A COLOURFUL collection of home-made cakes were laid out at a city school as students and staff raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
Pupils, who are studying GCSE catering at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic, generated £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support after selling dozens of cakes on Friday, September 29.
The college’s catering staff also helped bake the cakes while several were donated by Alliance in Partnership and St Peter’s Tesco. Coun Roger Knight, deputy Mayor of Worcester City Council, was among those to visit the school to purchase them.
Students in the performing arts department provided entertainment on the day, with a range of music, including pop songs and jazz.
