Summer of fun

Worcester Editorial 27th Aug, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

EXCITED youngsters took a step back in time over the summer holidays as they enjoyed an array of Victorian themed activities at The Elgar Birthplace Museum.

The summer club finishes today (Wednesday) after five weeks of magical stories, arts and crafts, kite making, sticker trails and a chance to try Elgar’s science station.

The Lower Broadheath museum also gave children the chance to make Victorian toys from thaumatropes to theatres as well as playing some traditional 19th century games.

The museum, which is the only one dedicated to the famous composer, has numerous activities taking place throughout the year.
