RESIDENTS were evacuated and roads had to be closed after a suspected arson attack outside a St John’s convenience store.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man after they received reports of a vehicle on fire in front of Nisa on Bromyard Road about 1.45am this morning (Monday).
There was significant damage to the front of the shop, the car and the property above, and due to an exploding gas bottle, the closures and evacuations were put in place.
Officers are treating the incident as an act of arson with intent to danger life.
