WORCESTER City have continued their preparations ahead of the Skrill Conference North season by appointing a new member to its board of directors.
Joe Murphy, who has been the club’s football secretary since June 2009, has been handed the role ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
Mr Murphy, a member of the Worcestershire Football Association, was also elected to the Football Conference Board as the Conference North Clubs’ representative at the Football Conference AGM.
A City spokesman said: “This is a prestigious appointment and recognition of the regard and confidence fellow Conference clubs have in Joe’s commitment and ability.
“The club is delighted by this appointment and everyone connected with the football club congratulates Joe on this appointment.
“Joe will be a valuable addition to the football club’s Board of Directors and his wealth of experience will be invaluable as the club continues to plan for its future.”
The Blue and Whites also confirmed supporters can purchase season tickets via the Worcester Visitor Centre, located next to the Guildhall.
