Back in time for half-term fun

YOUNGSTERS were treated to a trip back in time at the city’s museums during half-term.

Children and parents travelled to the Age of Iron in ‘Barbarians’ at the Art Gallery & Museum, which included artefacts and prehistoric skeletons to tell the story of the county over 2,000 years ago.

Family fun was also on show at the City Centre Gallery where visitors explored dinosaur footprints, a baby polar bear and a famous sturgeon.

The Commandery played host to a recycling session from Monday (May 26) to Sunday (June 1) with youngsters being able to redesign unwanted items into presents, games and art.

The ‘Barbarians’ exhibition runs to Saturday (June 7).

Helen Large, Museums Worcestershire marketing manager, said: “Our museums had a lovely packed programme for children to get stuck into throughout the half term holiday.

“They didn’t break the bank and left people with lots of happy memories of time well spent.”
