New building named in honour of retiring headmaster

A CITY school’s new sport and performing arts centre which is set to open later this year has been named after its retiring headmaster.

More than 200 people attended The King’s School, Worcester for the official naming of the the Keyes Building which was previously known as the SPACE.

It was part of the school’s topping out ceremony which saw headmaster Tim Keyes, who is set to leave in July, unveil a beam with his name on.

People were also given a tour of the building which will contain four multi-purpose courts and a fitness suite for use by students and the wider community, dance and drama studios, additional teaching space and a brand new sixth form centre.
