Time for a nice cuppa in new care home cafe

PEOPLE can pop in for a cuppa, cake and a chat after a city care home officially opened its garden cafe.

The team at Cranham Residential Care Home in Warndon have revamped a room of their home which overlooks the gardens into a small cafe.

Coun Jo Hodges, Worcester City councillor for the area, came along to cut the ribbon last Friday (March 28).

Coun Hodges said: “I’m really honoured that the team at Cranham asked me here to open their cafe.




“It’s a truly lovely, welcoming area where residents and local people can meet together.”

It will now be open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm.


Nora Harris, a 99-year-old resident at Cranham, added: “The room is absolutely lovely and they’ve decorated it very nicely.

“I think it’s such a good idea to have a café at the home.”
