Man exposes himself to woman in St John's

Worcester Editorial 15th Oct, 2013 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

POLICE are hunting a man who exposed himself to a woman in a St John’s alleyway at the weekend.

The victim was walking through Mecco Alley, which runs between Greenacres Road in Dines Green and Bromyard Road, on Saturday (October 12) about 7.30am when a man began to walk beside her.

He spoke a few words to the woman and when she looked over at him noticed his trousers were undone and he was exposing himself.

The woman then ran off towards Bromyard Road leaving the man behind in the alley.

The man is described as being white, short – about 5ft 1ins – in his early 20s, with short, black hair.

PC Neil Riley, who is investigating the incident, urged anyone with information to come forward.

“Understandably, the woman was left quite shaken by the incident and while this is being treated as an isolated incident, it’s important we find out who this man is,” he said.

“Unusually for the time of year, he was wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt, either black or blue in colour and jeans.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who may recognise this man from the description given or who saw a man matching his description either enter or leave the alley on that day.”

Anyone with information on the incident should call police on 0300 333 3000 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
