Worcester Editorial 21st Jun, 2024   0

ENTRIES into this year’s Wychavon Parish Games have now officially closed.

However, entries are still being taken for the later one-day events including angling (September 14), bowls (September 22) and table tennis (October 6).

New parishes, Little Comberton and Droitwich West, will also take part in the Games this year with Crowle and Wickhamford welcomed back after several years away.

The Games begin with the rounders event, sponsored by Marshall’s Transport, at Badsey Community and Sports Club on Sunday, June 30.

Following the rounders, the men’s five-a-side football tournament, sponsored by Hasti-Brokers, takes place at Evesham United Football Club on Sunday, July 7.

Next up is the cross country, sponsored by Schloetters, which takes place on the Evesham parkrun course on the evening of Monday, July 15

Alongside the aforementioned events, preliminary rounds will take place in the petanque, sponsored by Parsonson Planning Consultancy.

The draw for the knockout events will take place shortly with all paperwork then sent to Parish contacts and Parish captains.
