Safari Park Are Head And Shoulders Above The Rest …

Staff at West Midland Safari Park are celebrating after winning two national, prestigious awards, recognising their service to group travel.

The first award was scooped at the British Coach Awards where the Park saw off competition from many highly respected national attractions, to win the best ‘Coach Friendly Visitor Attraction’. This was awarded to the Park for demonstrating their commitment to welcoming and developing relationships with coaches, their drivers and coach groups.

For the third year in a row, the second award came from the Group Travel Awards for the ‘Best Animal or Sea Life Attraction for Groups’. This national award is highly coveted as it is voted for by visitors and recognises the best suppliers to the group travel industry.

Guest Relations Officer, Sue Day said, “We are thrilled to have accepted both awards this year on behalf of West Midland Safari and Leisure Park. It is our third consecutive year receiving the Group Travel Award for ‘Best Animal or Sea Life Attraction for Groups’ and we are delighted that the Park continues to be recognised for its valued relationships with both the coach and group industry.”

The Park has seen a growth in investment over the past few years, with new exhibits such as Land of the Living Dinosaurs in 2015, an education facility named Safari Academy and their new children’s play area, set to open this summer. The Park believes that the awards indicate the success of these investments, which they hope will continue in future.

West Midland Safari Park is open for its summer season and the standard admission charge is £23.00 for adults, £18.00 for children aged 3-15 and £21.00 for concessions. Under 3s are free. Admission includes a voucher for a return visit or safari gift. Adventure Theme Park rides are charged extra. Group discounts are also available.

Further information and tickets are available from the Park’s website www.wmsp.co.uk or by telephone 01299 402114.
