A TEENAGER has been denied bail after he was charged with a shooting in Coventry.
Pray Maphosa, from Worcester, appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court as police probe a shooting which left a teenager with serious arm injuries.
The victim is still in hospital after having extensive surgery to repair his arm, following the incident in Pinley Fields on September 2.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “Our officers arrested Maphosa, from Hamilton Road, Worcester, on Friday (September 11) and the following day charged him with attempted murder and firearm possession.”
The 18-year-old appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court on Saturday (September 12) and was remanded into prison ahead of a crown court appearance on October 15.
