Support your local traders this lockdown

WORCESTER’S independent businesses are urging the local community to continue to support them during the second lockdown.

City independent retailers form 64 per cent of all Worcester businesses and rely heavily on local footfall. They are having to rapidly adapt for the next lockdown in line with the latest government guidelines.

Ian Beswick, owner of Avant Garde whose locally family owned city centre hair salon in St Martin’s Quarter said: “We would like to take this time to thank our incredible team who collectively have serviced more than 7,500 clients since we re-opened on July 4 with zero cases.

“We have found 2020 extremely hard, but as always we will come back stronger. We have launched a brand new website with online shop selling all our professional products and Christmas gift sets – so if you want to help a small business and keep your hair feeling beautiful during lockdown, head over to www.agsalons.com. If you use discount code shop25 we will even give you 25 per cent off. Please keep an eye on our social media accounts for up to date information on when we reopen and anything new.”
