OVERNIGHT snow across the city has forced council bosses to postpone bin collections in Worcester today (Monday).
The collections would have replaced those bins due to be emptied on Christmas Day but will now not take place until next Monday (January 4).
A council spokesman said: “We apologise to residents for this inconvenience, especially as this coming Friday’s collections had already been rescheduled for Saturday (January 2). Residents who put their bin out for collection today are asked to take it back in.
“We will collect any side waste that people put out on January 4, when we do the catch-up collections.”
The Household Recycling Centres are open today, although residents are advised to check the latest travel information before setting off.
