THE UNDISPUTED master of the blues harmonica will be taking to the stage at Huntingdon Hall this April as Paul Lamb and The King Snakes visit Worcester.
Lamb is known by aficionados and music press around the world as a foremost blues harmonica exponent, forging himself a place in the history books as one of the greatest players of our time.
He has sold record-breaking quantities of albums and performed all over the world, has been inducted into the British Blues Awards Hall Of Fame alongside the likes of Peter Green, John Mayall and Alexis Korner and he and his band have won countless awards.
Born in 1955, in Blyth, Northumberland, Paul began his illustrious career at the tender age of 15. Struggling against the tide of local unemployment and economic depression, he took to the road working the club scene around the UK, paying his dues in the time-honoured tradition of the blues.
The following years saw Paul performing with Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Brownie McGhee and countless other blues greats. However, it was a need to write and express his own music which gave birth to his first band and so the journey continued.
Wherever his career may lead, Paul has undoubtedly been instrumental in keeping the blues alive.
