COMMUNITY groups and organisations across Worcester are being encouraged to apply for funding to help make local ideas a reality.
Worcester City Council has opened applications for this year’s Worcester Community Grants programme.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available for projects that have a positive impact on people living in Worcester, helping to strengthen communities, improve wellbeing and support local causes.
Money must be spent to deliver a specific project or activity and not day-to-day running costs.
Coun Katie Collier, vice chair of Worcester City Council’s communities committee said: “The City Council has supported a wide range of organisations through the Community Grants programme in recent years.
“These grants have enabled groups to deliver valuable initiatives that bring people together, improve wellbeing and create lasting positive change across Worcester.
“We encourage eligible organisations to apply and make the most of this funding opportunity.”
Applications can be made online at www.worcester.gov.uk/communitygrants or in person at the Guildhall in Worcester.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 2 August.
