A PUPIL from RGS Worcester recently made his international debut for England under-15s.
Max Pearce appeared from the bench at half time for England against Cyprus in a friendly match.
The goalkeeper maintained his side’s clean sheet as England ran out 3-0 winners against the hosts.
RGS Worcester director of sport, Mr Fowles, said: “It is wonderful to hear about Max’s success and we are immensely proud of his progress.
“Opportunities such as this are richly deserved and reflect the commitment and hard work he continues to show.
“We look forward to following his journey closely.”
Pearce said: “I am excited to be given an opportunity to represent my country and play for England under-15s.
“I am looking forward to challenging myself at the highest level of football I can.”
Pearce plays for Birmingham City’s academy teams and featured for Blues’ under-18s side when still only 14-years-old earlier this season.
The keeper played for Blues against Coventry City in the FA Youth Cup – becoming one of the two youngest goalkeepers ever to feature in the competition.
