CHARLIE Lutz scored a hat-trick as Worcester City reached the Worcestershire Senior Cup final with an emphatic 5-1 win against Alvechurch.
Lutz netted twice in the first half before completing his treble after the break while Matt Richards and Felix Miles also found the net at Sixways Stadium.
Church briefly halved the deficit early in the second period courtesy of Tope Obadeyi’s penalty only for City to cruise to victory in a repeat of last year’s final.
Worcester will play local rivals Redditch United or Bromsgrove Sporting in the final of the competition.
City broke the deadlock on 13 minutes when Lutz reacted quickest to turn a loose ball past Jenson Kilroy after Church failed to properly clear their lines.
And Lutz struck again six minutes before half time with a finish from close range after the hosts flicked on a long throw.
However, the visitors kept themselves in the game on 52 minutes when Obadeyi scored from the penalty spot after Charlie Wise committed a foul in the box.
Lutz completed his hat-trick on 60 minutes from a quickly-taken throw-in to restore Worcester’s two-goal cushion.
And City all but sealed their place in the final on 69 minutes as Richards coolly found the bottom corner to score his first goal for the club.
The home side completed the scoring nine minutes from time when substitute Miles made an immediate impact from the bench.
Miles beat his man and fired a low shot into the net as City romped to a convincing victory against their divisional rivals.
Worcester are next in action against AFC Sudbury on Saturday, February 14 with kick-off at 3pm at Sixways.
