RGS WORCESTER has been recognised as one of the best independent schools in the West Midlands in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026.
It secured sixth place in the regional rankings, making it the highest ranking school in Worcestershire and the only Worcester school to appear in the top ten.
The Parent Power Guide assesses academic performance based on the most recent A Level and GCSE examination results.
Headmaster John Pitt said: “We are delighted to be recognised once again in The Sunday Times Parent Power 2026 Guide as a leading independent school in the West Midlands, and the highest-ranked school in Worcestershire. This is a reflection of the quality of the education and opportunities that RGS Worcester provides for all of our pupils.
“At RGS, we are committed to ensuring that each pupil feels known, valued and confident to push themselves to achieve. They are taught by experts and they have a very broad range of subject choices. There is academic stretch and support and our innovative approach to teaching and learning seamlessly involves digital learning and AI to prepare pupils for the future. There is exceptional pastoral care and the breadth of co-curricular activities encourages pupils to discover and develop their many talents outside the classroom. The result is a genuine ‘all-round’ education where each child thrives.
“This continued recognition as one of the top schools is down to the hard work or the pupils, dedication of the staff and the support of our parents, so many congratulations to everyone.”
