LOGAN Stoddart earned Worcester City their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw against Banbury United.

Stoddart drew the visitors level shortly after half time at the Spencer Stadium after Connor Ferguson put Banbury ahead before the break.

The result means Worcester sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table.

Banbury broke the deadlock on 28 minutes when Ferguson drove into the box and cut inside of his marker before curling a shot into the top left corner.

However, City drew level two minutes after half time as Stoddart latched onto Nathan Hayward’s through ball and poked the ball past Banbury goalkeeper Jack Harding before finishing into an empty net.

Worcester are next in action against Needham Market on Saturday, August 16 with kick-off at 3pm at Bloomfields.
