DYLAN Hart scored a late brace as Worcester City eased to a 3-0 victory away at struggling Lye Town.
After a goalless first period, Hayden Reeves broke the deadlock before Hart netted twice late on to seal the points at the Sports Ground.
The result means Worcester sit fourth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
City made a fast start as Zac Guinan broke into the penalty area and squared the ball to Taylor Townsend with the latter just unable to poke the ball home.
And Guinan then controlled a free-kick in the box before shooting over the crossbar.
At the other end, a Lye player headed harmlessly over the crossbar.
Worcester forced Lye goalkeeper Ben Newey into a save just past the half-hour mark as Shay Palmer saw his driven effort parried and cleared to safety after good work from Felix Miles.
And Newey then kept out Miles’ low effort from the edge of the penalty area as the first half ended goalless.
Lye looked to catch City cold at the start of the second period as Ethan Moran curled a shot inches past the post following a counter attack.
However, Worcester broke the deadlock on 51 minutes when Reeves headed in Adam Mace’s deep free-kick at the back post.
Miles looked to double City’s lead later in the half after beating two men on his way into the box only for Newey to deny the midfielder when one-on-one.
The visitors eventually found a second goal on 78 minutes as Hart smashed a first time effort into the net via the underside of the crossbar.
Newey then pulled off a brave save with his face to prevent Hart from extending Worcester’s lead.
Substitute Prince Henry saw two efforts blocked in quick succession before Miles had a goal ruled out for offside.
However, Hart completed the scoring two minutes into injury time with a finish under Newey as the visitors cruised to victory.
Worcester are next in action against Anstey Nomads on Saturday, March 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Cropston Road.
