WORCESTERSHIRE CCC will return to Desert Springs Cricket Academy in Spain as part of their pre-season preparations next month.
The Pears will head to the resort for the third successive year next month.
A squad of around a dozen players will make the trip to Spain following winter indoor training in Worcester and Malvern.
The players will fly out to Almeria with the club’s coached on March 7 and return on March 15.
New signing Ben Allison, club captain Brett D’Oliveira and Jake Libby will feature in the squad.
Worcestershire also trained at Desert Springs ahead of the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The Pears achieved promotion to Division One of the County Championship in 2023 and secured their highest finish in the competition last season since it split into two sections.
The entire squad will then join up for practice session at Kidderminster’s Chester Road ground from March 17.
Worcestershire head coach, Alan Richardson said: “The trip to Desert Springs has been finalised. We are looking to go out on March 7 and come back on March 15.
“It will be an eight-day stay out there where we’ve got six full days of training.
“We are looking at 11-12 players going out, the guys who are not overseas and it is a really good stepping stone for us at the start of the season.
“We don’t get to play any cricket but we get to feel the grass under our feet and the weather is really good.
“There are plenty of facilities there and it is an ideal opportunity for the boys to spend some time together and get some good sessions under their belts.
“What it is for really is the boys who have remained at the club training all winter.
“The guys who are overseas playing, why would we bring them back if they are playing and training regularly?
“The plan is for all of us to report back on March 17 at Kidderminster after guys have come back from overseas, after we have come back from Desert Springs, and guys should be in a really good place.”
